Author Jonathon Lear recently wrote about how the Crow tribe survived by finding “a traditional way of moving forward.” These words serve as inspiration for The University of Winnipeg as we find a way to maintain our tradition of academic excellence and our need to move in bold new directions in the future.

Built on a solid reputation, The University of Winnipeg is highly regarded by its students and alumni for delivering a quality education and providing the proper foundations for success in life. We strive to offer an academic experience like no other – we challenge our students to see the world through our doors. A world of opportunity – an opportunity to dream of endless possibility and potential. Our sights are set on preparing ourselves and our students for a future that is ever changing. We can achieve our vision by supporting emerging areas of study and research while also finding ways to make a University education achievable for students from every background.

We aim to be a leader in our areas of strength – in Aboriginal education, in environmental studies, in theatre and film, in history and global studies, in meeting the unique needs of our students and in serving as a catalyst for urban renewal in downtown Winnipeg. Through our “A World of Opportunity” Capital Campaign, we ask you to join us in our efforts.
