Richardson College for the Environment and Model School
Situated in the new complex, The Richardson College for the Environment will be home to innovative new research in environmental studies and sciences – a place where students and leading researchers may converge to explore the emerging areas of forest ecology, urban ecology, the global north, water resources, environment and health. With the support of the Richardson Family, Firm and Foundation ($3.5 M), the College is destined to become a hub of dialogue, seminars and visiting scholars including a proposed Chair in Indigenous Environmental/Freshwater Studies.
In conjunction with The University of Winnipeg's Collegiate and the Innovative Learning Centre, the new campus will also be home to a new ‘model school’ for a selected number of inner-city students at the elementary and high-school level.
