With a History Department renowned for its expertise in Canadian and Social History, The University of Winnipeg is establishing the National Centre for Canadian History in partnership with Canada’s premier historical societies. This centre of excellence will be a place for Canadian history to be celebrated and shared with local, national and international communities. The country’s top historians will undertake research projects, deliver seminars and offer public lectures on the history of Canada with major support from fellowships created by H. Sanford Riley ($1M), UWinnipeg's Chancellor and Chair of The University of Winnipeg Foundation.
